Not so 'Leisure' Camp

This year's Scout & Guides combined camp sucked quite badly,wasn't quite the same as last year's, and i did not expected many many things......

Spent 5 days away from home, (quite a relieve actually, as mom & dad were quarreling at that time) PHEW....... First two days was job week. went to many places to ask for donations or help other ppl do odd jobs for $$ and whatnot......damn tiring. BUT i did earn $200++ dollars which is a big improvement from the past 2 years.

Next 3 days was the official camp... Even more tiring than job week because FIRSTLY, i was a campfire committee and had to prepare for the campfire. Secondly, seeing my friends so tired and demoralized made me feel the same way too. And thirdly.... their 'guai lan ' activities can really wear away your energy till it's gone.....

On the first day, there was this ultra looong walk from cck to bukit timah. we walked like 20+++++++km because the person leading us was like walking in one Big circle. and then we continued on to Diary Farm where we had some kinda picnic and I saw some people doing disgusting acts such as spitting orange seeds on the grass.

Then we walked back and it was like 7pm already. Ate dinner then we played a territorial game where you have to infiltrate the enemy's territory without them catching you. Felt sick and tired of people denying they were catching even though you are actually, already grabbing hold of them..... so i slacked and walked around and looked at all the confused people walking around and getting caught..... very funny and was thrilling in it's own way......

Next day was campfire day. It was also the day when Jia Long ate ecstasy!!!!!!! WOOHOO!!!!!!!
During the campfire, Jia Long was super entusiastic and was dancing and running and jumping!!!.... ( a side of him whom i have never seen before ) he and other scout friends were so happy that i decided to join them too and be 'high' ( something i also did not expected myself to do :)..........
It was one of the best Campfires I have experienced as....it went much better than any of the campfire committees would have anticipated and that, in a way , it was enjoyable and memorable ........

However my biggest and greatest regret was not being able to experience the Night Walk.... haizzzzz ...........

The final day was cleaning day, we had some water games and then cleaned up the school. Went home after the debrief. Though the camp sucked and that we had to do camp inspections every single day,........ there were a few moments in which I will enjoy and miss in the camp......And best of all.... mom and dad finally made up during the 5 days i as away :) Got back my psp and I finally completed PATAPON!!!!!!!!!!! YAY!!!!!!!!! Great Game!!! can't wait for Patapon 2......... :)

Went to Serimbun Camp for NPC ( National Patrol Camp ) as a camp staff for the past 6 days, was really great FUN. Skiped breakfast and rushed to Teck Whye campus with some other Scouts however ,by the time we reached Serimbun campsite they had finished their lunch!!! so had to go without hungry for the rest of the day, worse of all had to unload and carry the stuff for the competion it was super hard work becos no strength and so hot!! Haizzz ...... but felt better at night after dinner. also learned to play plus-plus 30 from Wen Hao and Yap Jin (teach u all next time).

Second day was more relaxed then first day but also got do sai kang* work worked until 5.00 plus then Terry and Lin Yang came.( Lin Yang scalded himself while working at Mac's ). the food was not bad unlike many other camps. The third day everyone slacked like siao...spent most of the day laying in the dorm playing Patapon with Linyang and Terry.

Fourth day most sian....was chosen to be Wen Hao's runner for the day super boring spent and wasted most of the day sitting at the white tentage with Ming Xian while the others stayed in the dorm PLAYING. however, received many free soft drinks from fellow Scouts in charge of welfare xD ......... also had late night supper at the white tentage with several logistics and welfare Scouts.

The Fifth day was THE BIG day for the NPC competitors ( said by Lian Kwee ) Serimbun Camp had an openhouse for people outside the camp to see the pioneering structures the campers made, me and Jun Ren were secretly crossing fingers hoping for rain so that the openhouse could become a closedhouse :) YAY!!! IT RAINED !!!!! but only for a while sob* :( , attended the campfire at night NPC participants acted in skits (very funny skits).....was ROFL (not really)

Sixth day........final day of the camp haizzz had to help the NPC campers untie thier structures and did sai kang* work again.... and while the other campers left the campsite the logistics memebers (Yap Jin , Lin Yang , me....) had to stay back and help clean up the mess from the area including the mess the visitors made during the openhouse the previous day......... received two badges and compliments for our school ....... six days of camp finally over can go home le :)
Tiring but fun, came back home with badges, cuts, sunburn, and addicted to Patapon lol hope that more camps would be like this one and looking forward to the next NPC ^_^
